Material prior to the Meiji Era is photographed on microfilm and copies are made for public access. Reading Access: Material is placed on the shelves within the Special and Local Materials Room. Reading access is provided to the public by way of microfilm and copies. |

Collection material is fumigated, then thoroughly researched and when necessary, mended, fixed and repaired after which the material is microfilmed and included in the search catalog. Access: Access to such material is fundamentally provided in the form of microfilm. |
